The
Cerdagne, in the Pyrenees Orientales between Andorra, Spain and
the Mediterranean sea, is a plateau surrounded by mountains close
to 3,000 metres, lakes and forest, offering you not only a multitude
of all year-round outdoors activities but also a rich history, culture,
old traditions and tasteful cuisine.

The "train
jaune" (yellow train) allows you to hop through some of the 21 Cerdagne
villages made of granite and slate, where we can visit some fine romanic
and baroque buildings. Through the trip, both amusing and instructive,
you can discover beautiful landscapes and nature as well as the history
of the different villages.
You can enjoy
all kind of outdoor, indoor and cultural activities around the area and
you will find restaurants, coffee shops, bars, shops, casinos and movie
theatres in Font-Romeu, just under 5 Km from Cal Barbe.

alpine and nordic: 12 ski resorts in less than 10 minutes away. You

Mountain
bike: 12 circuits for all levels of difficulty with 152 Km in
Pyrénées 2000 and with 3 links to Capcir, Cambre d'Aze and Font-Romeu.
Pyrénées 2000 also offers 1 route downhill and a trial circuit.

Hiking:
Lakes, panoramas, forests, glaciers, fortifications, sommets, valleys,
gorges... Several hiking circuits in the area following the GR's
(Grand Randonnées)

Several initiation circuits marked, some of them dedicated to a
specific theme (forts, glaciers...) from 1 to 4 hours long and of
free entrance. Posibility to book guides tours and group courses

Thomas, also being beneficial against different pains.
